The last OMD perfomance in a TV show with Paul Humphreys, Andy McCluskey, Martin Cooper and Malcolm Holmes together was in 1988 to promote their „Best Of“-Album and the single „Dreaming“.After that the original line-up of OMD split up. Therefore all the fans worldwide were surprised when in April 2005 it became clear that OMD would reunite the nearly-original line-up for another gig in a TV show. We, the german OMD-fans, were really proud to hear that this should happen in a german TV show. On may the 31st Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Malcolm Holmes and Stuart Kershaw actually performed their greatest hit in Germany „MAID OF ORLEANS“ at the recording of the „Ultimative Chart Show“ in Cologne. 21 fans from all over Germany (all known from the forum at www.omd-germany.de ) supported the band as best they could. Before the performance we were invited to meet the band for about one hour at their Hotel in Cologne to ask questions, take photographs and collect signatures.

Der letzte Auftritt in einer TV-Show in der Besetzung Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Malcolm Holmes und Martin Cooper fand 1988 im Rahmen der Promotion ihres "Best Of"-Albums und der Single "Dreaming" statt. Danach trennten sich die Wege der Originalbesetzung. Deshalb waren wohl alle Fan's weltweit über die Ankündigung im April 2005 erstaunt, dass sich OMD in beinahe Originalbesetzung definitiv für einen Fernseh-Auftritt wieder vereinigen wollten! Vor allem wir deutschen Fan's waren mehr als stolz darauf, dass dies in einer deutschen TV-Show stattfinden sollte! Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Malcolm Holmes und Stuart Kershaw traten dann auch tatsächlich am 31. Mai 2005 in der Aufzeichnung der "Ultimativen Charts Show" bei RTL in Köln auf. OMD traten dort natürlich mit ihrem größten Hit in Deutschland - MAID OF ORLEANS - in einem Voll-Playback-Auftritt auf. 21 Fan's aus ganz Deutschland, alle bekannt aus dem Forum von "www.omd-germany.de", haben die Jungs natürlich nach Kräften unterstützt und waren zuvor von der Band zu einem einstündigen "Stelldichein" ins Kölner Savoy Hotel eingeladen.
